Booking Guide

How big is a bouncy castle and will it fit?

We often get asked this question, so we’ve listed the Length, Width and Height of the castles in the description to help you figure out the amount of space you'll need.

Choose the Location:

First, decide where you'd like to set up the castle.

Make sure the area is accessible. A gate opening of 1.3m is sufficient for about 90% of our castles.

Measure the Area:

Walk around the space where you want the castle to go, taking larger steps for an estimate. This method is a rough guide, as everyone's stride is different.

Review the required size for the castle. Remember to leave at least 1m behind the castle for the blower. You can find the required dimensions on the castle’s specification page or at the bottom of this page.

Double-Check the Fit:

If you have enough room and everything seems good, the castle should fit perfectly.

If you’re still unsure, don’t hesitate to reach out to us, and we’d be happy to visit and assess the space for you.

Castle set up

Delivery Requirements

We require access to one power point for the fan blower, so please consider this when choosing where to place the castle. We will provide 25m extension cord.

Since our castles are large when rolled for transport and typically bigger than most single gates, the location should be easily accessible.

Please refer to the specifications section on the individual castle pages to check the size of the castle and ensure the area you’ve chosen has enough space. You’ll also need to allow a 1-meter clearance around the castle.

Outdoor Setup

If you’re setting up outdoors, choose a grassy area. WE WILL NOT SET A CASTLE UP ON CONCRETE as it is not safe or suitable. This is as we we won’t be able to securely peg it down. If you are unsure if your space is suitable for set up please contact us and send us an image of your area in mind and we will let you know if it is suitable.

Be aware of any phone lines, power lines (above and below ground), water pipes, and sewer pipes. Our pegs are approximately 40cm long and are necessary for safely securing the castle outdoors.

As for mowing the lawns, we suggest mowing the grass 4-5 days before your booking to reduce loose grass from getting onto the castle.

Indoor Setup

Most castles can be set up indoors. Just ensure that the indoor area is spacious enough for setup and that the ceiling is high enough.

What time is drop off and pick up?

The drop-off and pick-up times will be confirmed once your booking is made. Our castles are available for full-day hire, typically ranging from 4 to 6 hours, depending on the end time of your event. For a rough idea of timing we will normally set the castle up by 10am and pick up from 4pm.

We will coordinate with you after your booking is confirmed and once you know the start time of your event. If you have any questions regarding the drop-off and pick-up times, please feel free to reach out to us before making your booking.

Let us know if you require specific times and we'll do our best to accommodate your needs. Please ensure the castle is clean, in the condition it was dropped off in and, remains inflated with the the fan blower ON ready for collection.​​​

Weather Conditions

The weather in New Zealand can be unpredictable! If there’s a forecast for heavy rain or strong winds, we won’t make a decision to cancel until the morning of your booking. If needed, we can either reschedule for a day that works better for you or offer a full refund. Our castles are designed to withstand light winds and brief showers. In the event of rain, simply towel dry the castle, and you’ll be ready to go again! For heavier downpours, it’s a good idea to have an umbrella or chair nearby to cover the blower and protect it from the rain.

We take your safety seriously, so please read through our Bouncy Castle Agreement before confirming your booking. It contains helpful tips for staying safe and avoiding any damage or additional fees.
